Nutrition for the Long Run

Nutrition for the Long Run

Did you know that the microscopic bacteria in our guts could impact someone’s success as a runner?

It was great fun to be talking nutrition on Wednesday evening as part of a panel of speakers at Richmond Physiotherapy. The theme of the evening was ways to enhance and advance running with five speakers providing expert guidance on different topics from how to train and strengthen the body to wearing the right footwear - but all focussed on the subtle changes runners can make to their training to help them step up the pace.

In my talk I explored the links between gut health and physical performance and shared some top tips to help the attendees nourish their own gut microbiomes.
